After “The Name of the Doctor” aired, I was just like, “What am I supposed to do without Doctor Who for six bloody months?”, when I remembered there are actually about twice as many episodes as I have seen already left to see, so yeah, I finally started watching Classic Who.

This scene shows so beautifully that Cameron’s attraction to House’s “damage” isn’t a quest for someone to fix; it’s her reaching out to a kindred spirit. The fact that she turns his own catchphrase—his relentless, insatiable “why?”—back on him is telling, and so is her tacit implication that she sees him as a good person.
